What is the difference between Last year and Preceding year

We have three kinds of ratios on our website:

1.Ratios ending with "12m" or no suffix: these are TTM (trailing 12 months) ratios.

2. Ratios ending with "last year" or "ann": these are ratios based on the latest annual report

3. Ratios ending with "preceding year" or "prev ann": these are ratios based on the annual report preceding the most recent annual report.
For instance: Sales refer to the sales made by the company in the last four available Quarters.
Sales last year refers to the sales made by the company as per the latest available Annual report. (Currently, it refers to the FY-21).
